A Day in Sapphire

This is a remembered scene near Leap in West Cork, Just in front of a coniferous forest there is a beautiful lake which was shining in Autumn early evening sun. I often paint scenes by memory it helps me stay free with the brush marks and not labouriously copy a scene, after all you can take a photo if thats what you want. I want to capture how this place made me feel, its mysterious and moody and a little haunting
