Falling into Blue Wonder

An original contemporary oil landscape painting of a lake in West Cork. Where I live in West Cork I am surrounded by lakes, I love painting these in different lights, misty days, bright white light days, winter days. This is my interpretation of a scene near my home. it is painted entirely with palette knife. I love to scrape oil paint with my palette over the textured underlayers and add highlights of colour and interest.
